H-2B VISA

International Personnel Resources, Inc. (IPR) provides seasonal industries a proven method for solving seasonal labor shortages through the implementation the H2-B visa program

Pete Lizarzaburu is employed by International Personnel Resources (IPR).  This position allows him to work on the H2-B visa program at Delaware Park as well as other immigration issues that affect the thoroughbred horseracing industry.

As many of you know we were very fortunate to get our H2-B visa workers processed and working at Delaware Park in 2007.  In July a meeting was held for trainers at Delaware Park to discuss the new requirements from the Department of Labor.  All employers will need to prove their businesses' operational business cycle that necessitates employees on a seasonal basis.  A chart of hours and wages from 2005 and 2006 will also required.

The new requirements will be time consuming.  We have sample forms available in the Horsemen's Office or you can contact IPR directly.  Pete Lizarzaburu will also be available on Mondays and Fridays to answer any questions.
